EBA was founded in 1975 and ratified in 1979 under the law 32/1964. EBA is a non-governmental, non-for-profit organization that seeks to unify the efforts of private Egyptian interests in contributing to the productivity and efficient national economic and social development of Egypt. In order to carry out these duties, EBA had to be in the first place a lobbying power on behalf of the Egyptian business community to protect its interests and enhance the private sector existence

Presently, the Egyptian economy does not act under planned forces but rather under the free market forces. With all these privatization programs and the growing private sector share in the GDP together with the globalization process.

Meeting with a Korean Delegation from (KOICA) and (KITC)

EBA has held a meeting with a Korean Delegation from Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and Korea IT Consulting (KITC), the meeting was chaired by Eng. Hassanien Tawfiq, Chairman of the Information Technology Committee at EBA, and was also attended by: Eng. Mahmoud Metwally, Second Vice Chairman of the Information Technology Committee, Dr. Mohamed Shedeed, Executive Director, EiTESAL Association, Mr. Assem Wahby, Advanced Computer Technology – ACT and Ms. Eithar Ahmed, Korea Desk Officer, MPED The Meeting aimed to explore potential collaboration opportunities in technology-based projects related to digital transformation, with a focus on strategic initiatives and it provided a valuable platform to discuss the identification and design of Official Development Assistance (ODA) programs in digital transformation for Egypt, fostering dialogue on strategic project formation and implementation frameworks

Working Group of the Economic Legislation Committee

tHE Economic Legistation Committee , headed by Bahgat El-Hossami, Chairman of the Committee at the EBA, and attended by Dr. Fatima Salah, Vice Chairman of the Committee, a number of EBA's members, and representatives of EBA's Executive team Committee, held the following: Preparations are underway to hold an expanded symposium to approve the new labor law soon, with the attendance of all relevant parties.

Joint meeting of the Economic Legislation and Information Technology Committees

The EBA, headed by Eng. Ali Issa - Chairman of the Board of Directors, held a joint meeting organized by the Economic Legislation Committees headed by Counselor / Bahgat Al-Hossami and the Information Technology Committee headed by Mr. Hassanein Tawfik The meeting was held in the presence of Dr. / Fatima Salah - Vice Chairman of the Committee, and with the participation of a number of members of the two committees and a group of members of the Board of Directors of Etisal Association and representatives of the executive body of the Association with the aim of reviewing the proposal of the two committees on: Personal Data Protection Law, Electronic Payment and Electronic Signature and work to prove transactions by modern technological methods and their legality•Some topics related to information technology applications that require the existence of economic legislation to apply and prove them officially

Original Member

Is the member who applied for membership and fulfilled all the conditions and is accepted by EBA board. The original member has the right to attend the General assembly meeting and to nominate himself to be a member in EBA’s board.

The associate member is associated to an original member, he enjoys all the benefits and rights given to the Original member except for the right of attending the General Assembly Meeting and to nominate himself to be a board member.
