Round Table with National Committee for Crisis and Disaster Management

In order to reflect the orientation towards building a strategic partnership between the State and the private sector, the ARISE Egypt Network, chaired by Eng. Hossam El-Gamal and established under the umbrella of the Egyptian Businessmen’s Association, held a meeting with General Mohamed Abdel-Maqsoud, Assistant Secretary-General of the Cabinet and Head of the National Committee for Crisis and Disaster Management, in the presence of Eng. Magd El-Din El-Manzalawi, EBA Secretary General and member of ARISE Network, along with numerous other network members. The meeting aimed to discuss the mechanisms of cooperation between the National Committee and EBA in supporting national efforts to reduce the risks of disasters and crises in vital economic sectors, to identify sectoral priorities, and to develop a framework for coordination with the United Nations Regional Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR), to establish a joint action plan for the upcoming phase
